Handling excluded IDs

Follow these steps if a candidate presents an excluded ID for testing:

  1. Confirm that the excluded ID is permitted for testing by the exam sponsor's ID policy.

  2. Confirm that you performed the manual ID check process earlier during admissions.

  1. Skip the "Complete DIA" admissions step, and continue admitting the candidate.

You can skip the DIA process by clicking Next without scanning the ID. When clicking Admit to complete the admission process, a message asks you to confirm that you want to finish the process without completing all the required steps. Click Yes. If you do accidentally scan an excluded ID with the DIA device, Admissions Manager will alert you.

Never scan an ID from a U.S. sanctioned country. If you do, you must call the test center support line to contact a program coordinator. For more information, see Procedure for handling IDs from sanctioned countries.

  1. Create a case, selecting these options:

Excluded ID presented for DIA  

Provide the following information about the candidate's ID in the case Description field:

  • Origin of ID (for example, California, United States of America, or European Union)

  • Type of ID (for example, a driver's license or passport)

  • Explanation that the DIA process was skipped because the candidate presented an excluded ID

  • Details on whether the excluded ID was accidentally scanned
