Capturing a palm scan

This entire section, including sub-sections, is applicable only at PVTC Selects and PVTCs equipped with an admissions tablet. Pearson notifies test centers if they must have the equipment installed.

If the "Capture palm scan" step is listed in Admissions Manager, the exam sponsor requires you to scan the candidate's palms. The palm scan process uses the admissions tablet (see Admissions and candidate monitoring equipment).

The process for scanning first-time candidates is called enrollment.
The process for scanning returning candidates who have had their palm scan captured previously is called verification.
