Stopping an exam
Sometimes, you may need to manually stop a candidate's exam so that the candidate does not lose any testing time. For example, you may need to stop an exam for one of these reasons:
-
Fire drills
-
Potential candidate misconduct
-
Major distractions
-
Emergencies when time still permits exams to be stopped
After you stop an exam, the exam can be resumed later, if necessary.
Unless you are instructed otherwise by Pearson VUE, do not stop the exam when a candidate wants to take a break or decides to leave without completing his or her exam. |
Follow these steps to stop an exam:
-
Press Ctrl+Shift+F12 on the workstation keyboard.
The Delivery Manager - Login window appears.
-
Type your username and password, and then click Login.
The Administrator Overrides window appears.
-
Select the Stop the exam option, and click OK.
This temporarily stops the exam and the exam clock so that the candidate does not lose exam time. In the Appointment Selection window, the exam shows Stopped as the status. For information about resuming a stopped exam, see Resuming an exam.
-
Create a case as soon as possible.
