How site groups affect Registration Manager

In a standard test center configuration, you can only perform same-day registrations and cancel or reschedule exam appointments for your own test center. However, if your test center is a member of a site group, you can view and change appointment information for other test centers in your group. This applies regardless of how administrative rights are set up for the test centers in the group. For more information, see Working with other centers in your site group.

If your test center is not part of a site group, you can:

  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel same-day appointments for your test center. You cannot perform these tasks for any other test center.

  • Schedule exams to be taken at other test centers. You cannot reschedule or cancel appointments for exams scheduled to be taken at other test centers.

  • View canceled appointments for your test center.

If your test center is part of a site group, all test centers that are in the group can perform the following tasks for any other test center in the site group:

  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel same-day appointments for exams scheduled to be taken at any test center in the site group.

  • Cancel and reschedule appointments for exams scheduled to be taken at any test center in the site group.

If you are rescheduling or canceling an appointment that has non-automatic accommodations associated with it, contact the Pearson VUE Call Center to notify a call center agent of the change. The agent can then create a case to remind Pearson VUE to contact the test center to inform its staff about the accommodation.

  • View canceled appointments that were scheduled at any of the test centers in the site group. When you use the History tab in Registration Manager to view a candidate’s information, you can see any exams the candidate canceled at your test center or at a test center in your site group.

Before you schedule a same-day appointment at another test center in your site group, call that test center and get the staff's permission to do so. If the test center staff allows it, you may schedule the same-day appointment at that test center. When you have scheduled the exam appointment, contact the other test center so that the staff can verify whether the exam is prepared.

After you inform the other test center that the same-day appointment has been scheduled, the staff at the test center will refresh the schedule in Site Manager to see if the exam is prepared. If the exam is not prepared, the test administrator will run RMA manually to prepare the exam. The test administrator will then refresh the schedule in Site Manager again. For more information on running RMA manually, see Running RMA manually.

If the exam does not appear on the schedule in Site Manager after the test administrator runs RMA manually and refreshes the schedule, the test administrator must contact VSS for assistance immediately.
