Install the scanner

You must use a scanner if you are ever required to use the backup signature procedure. Refer to the Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center Policies and Procedures guide for details.

 

Pearson VUE does not supply the scanners. Sites must purchase the scanner; therefore, each site may have a different scanner. Installation instructions should be provided with each unit and should involve simply installing the scanner software, connecting the scanner to the USB hub at the administration workstation and plugging the scanner into a power outlet.

Please refer to the documentation provided with your scanner for installation instructions. The process should only take about 15 minutes. Make sure to test the scanner by scanning a document after you have installed the software and connected the device.
