Install candidate admissions equipment

Note iconNote

Those sites that will be installing any of the admissions equipment listed below must follow the procedures in this section of the guide prior to Testing the systems.

This section of the installation guide describes the installation of candidate admissions equipment at your site. The equipment is designed to authenticate a candidate, which adds a significantly higher level of security to the exam delivery. The installation kit may consist of any of the following admissions equipment:

  1. A web camera used to photograph candidates during admissions or to photograph an object to display how a candidate was cheating
  2. A signature device to capture the candidate's signature
  3. A palm vein device to scan the candidate's veins in their palm to verify candidate identity and to deter proxy testing

Carefully read through this section explaining how and where to set up the equipment before beginning the installation.

VUE Support Services works with each site on an individual basis to ensure your administration workstation meets the minimum requirements for running the devices that will be installed. It is very important that the administration workstation meets the requirements, or the admissions devices may not work properly. Please contact VUE Support Services in your region if you have questions.
