Disable services - exam delivery

The following services must be disabled on ALL exam delivery workstations before installing and using the testing system:

1. File History Services
2. SMS Remote Control Agent
3. Remote Desktop Services
4. Utility Manager
5. VNC Server

Follow these steps to disable these services:

1. Type Services in the Search field next to the Windows Start button and hit Enter on the keyboard. 

   

2. In the Services dialog box, scroll through the list on the right to locate each of the services that must be disabled.

Below is an example for Remote Desktop Services.

3. Double-click the service to display the Properties dialog box. 

   

4. On the General tab, click Stop to stop the service.
5. Choose Disabled from the Startup type drop-down list. Select OK to close the dialog box.
6. Perform steps 2 – 5 to disable each service.
7. Close the Services dialog box.
