Restarting an exam on multiple workstations
If there is a power outage or system failure, you will need to obtain an authorization code to start the exams on all of the affected delivery workstations.
Follow the process described in Obtaining an authorization code in Delivery Manager.
Make sure to tell VSS how many exams are affected by the power outage. VSS will provide you with a multi-pass authorization code that can be used to restart each affected exam. However, if more exams become affected by the outage than the number you told VSS, the multi-pass authorization code will run out before all of the affected exams can be restarted. If this occurs, you will need to call VSS again and get a new authorization code in order to restart the remaining affected exams. If you have only started and used the multi-pass authorization code on one workstation, you will not be required to use the code on any of the remaining workstations, unless the number of authorizations has run out. |
If you restart exams because of a power outage, create a case for each candidate, selecting these options:
Exam delivery
Power outage
