Substitute assistive personnel

If the assistive person who was originally scheduled for an exam becomes unavailable, the assistive personnel vendor may schedule a substitute. If this happens, the accommodations team will attempt to update the Approved accommodations site notification case with the new assistive person's name before the exam appointment. However, if this is not possible, the substitute assistive person’s ID and attendance record will not match the assistive person’s name that is listed in the accommodation case.

If the name listed in the case does not match the substitute assistive person who arrives for the appointment, follow these steps:

  1. Contact the assistive personnel vendor (uExamS) directly at 1-866-761-8866. 

  2. Confirm the new assistive person's name and assignment. 

  3. Continue to admit the candidate and assistive person.

  4. Update the case with the new assistive person's name.
