Promotion codes combined with credit card payments

In this example scenario, a candidate provides a promotion code and wants to pay the remaining balance with a credit card. A candidate said that she was told she could get 20 percent off a second Novell exam if she purchased one other Novell exam and provided you with a code. You have just registered her for two Novell exams.

To apply the discount:

In the Order screen, locate the Payment area, and enter the promotion code in the Voucher / Promotion field.

Click Discounts in the Order screen to open the Add a discount window. Next, click the Vouchers/Promotions tab, and enter the code in the Vouchers Number/Promotion Code field.

Click Details, if you want to review the terms of the discount.

The Discount Details window opens. When you are done looking at the details of the discount, click Close.

Click Apply.

After the system validates that the order qualifies for the discount, a 20 percent discount on the lower priced exam is added to the Order Items list. In this scenario, the candidate has registered for two Novell exams, so she is eligible for the discount. The amounts are adjusted in the lower-right area of the Order screen. However, there is still a remaining balance in the order.

To enter credit card payment for the remaining balance in the order:

Select the candidate's credit card type in the Payment Type drop-down list.
Enter the credit card holder's name, credit card number, and expiration date.
Click Save.
