Checking RMA

If your test center is located on a United States federal or state facility or military installation, do not refer to the information in this section. Instead, see Checking RMA at PVTC Government Centers in Appendix C.

At the beginning of each testing day, you must verify that the Remote Maintenance Agent (RMA) ran properly overnight to ensure that your test center has the latest schedule and exam information. You can verify this with the RMA connection log application in the Connect portal. This application allows you to look at your test center's RMA connection history for a specific time period. It tells you when RMA was last run, whether it was a manual or automated session, and how frequently it is running.

For more information about how to use the RMA connection log application, see Application instructions in the Connect portal. For more information about RMA, see Remote Maintenance Agent and Application Wrapper.

If the RMA connection log application shows that RMA is not running properly or that no connections have taken place since midnight, ensure that the file server (and/or administration workstation, depending on your site's installation scenario setup) is on. If the file server (and/or administration workstation) is on, contact VSS immediately.
