FRONT DESK ADMINISTRATION

FINDING CANDIDATES IN ADMISSIONS MANAGER

If Admissions Manager shows the candidate's CCID in place of their name for a Huawei Certification exam appointment, you must use the Candidate Information Portal to find the candidate's appointment. First create a case, selecting Exam Delivery and Problem with computer software. When creating the case, type "Candidate Information Portal" in the description.

Follow the instructions below after the case has been created and use the Candidate Information Portal to locate the exam appointment in Admissions Manager.

  1. Log into the Candidate Information Portal and select Huawei Certification from the drop-down menu in the search bar.

Note: See section 1.3 for detailed instructions about logging into the Candidate Information Portal.

  2. Ask the candidate to provide their User ID.

Candidates can find their User ID on the Huawei Certification candidate website by going to the website directly (https://www.pearsonvue.com.cn/Clients/Huawei.aspx) using their mobile phone. Once the candidate logs in, their homepage will appear and show their name and CCID.

Note: The CCID is listed as the User ID on the candidate's homepage.

  3. Enter the candidate's CCID in the CCID search field and click Search

Note: If you can't find the candidate's record using their CCID, search by their email address instead.

  4. Verify the candidate's information in the Candidate Information Portal is correct.

Note: Candidates must use their web accounts to update their demographic information.

  5. Find the appointment in Admissions Manager with the same CCID in place of the candidate's name.

Note: The CCID is listed as the User ID on the candidate’s homepage.

  6. Verify the appointment details with the candidate and continue the admissions process.

IDENTIFICATION

Identification Requirements

Primary required; do not seat a candidate for an exam unless they provide one form of valid ID.

Before you turn away a candidate because of an identification issue, call the test center support line to contact a program coordinator.

Primary ID

Acceptable Primary IDs

  1. State or Country identification card
  2. Passport
  3. Driver's license
  4. Military ID
  5. Valid Exit-Entry Permit (EEP) to Hong Kong/Macau
  6. Government-issued alien registration card (Permanent Resident card)

Note: An ID without a photo or signature, like a household register, cannot be accepted.

Secondary ID

Acceptable Secondary IDs

  1. Credit card
  2. Student ID card
  3. Employee's ID card
  4. Social Security card

Note: If the candidate does not have one of the acceptable secondary IDs listed above, ask the candidate for any ID containing either a name and signature or a name and recent recognizable photo to use instead.

Candidate Information Portal

See below for instructions on using the Candidate Information Portal to check a candidate’s identification:

  1. Open a web browser and go to the Candidate Information Portal (https://web.y1.pvue2.com.cn).

  2. Enter your username and password, then click Sign In.

If you have not signed in for the day, you will be prompted to enter a verification code. The verification code will automatically be sent to your email. Check your spam folder if you do not receive a verification code. You can also click on Request Another Code if you need a code sent to you.

Note: If you have previously signed in, skip to step 4.

  3. Enter the verification code you received, then click Verify and Continue.

The Candidate Information Portal home page appears.

  4. Select Huawei Certification from the drop-down menu in the search bar. Enter the candidate’s CCID in the CCID search field, then click Search.

Note: If you can’t find the candidate’s record using their CCID, search by their email address instead.

  5. Click on Detail.

A new window with detailed candidate information appears.

  6. Compare the candidate's ID with the information in the Candidate Information Portal.

You must verify the candidate’s primary ID type and number. Remember the following:

    1. Some digits may be encrypted with asterisks (*). For example, if the candidate’s primary ID number is 110132440413020338, it may show as 1*0*3*4*0*1*0*0*3*. You only need to verify the numbers you can see.

    2. Candidates are permitted to choose "YYYYMMDD" in the ID Type field during registration instead of a type of primary ID. An encrypted version of the birthdate then appears in the ID Number field. For example, if the candidate’s birthdate is 19841118, it may show as 19***118. If candidates do this, you do not need to verify the candidate's birthdate. Verify the ID meet the client's requirements, then allow the candidate to test.

    3. If the primary ID number is missing, allow the candidate to test and create a case, selecting Admissions/Check-in, Request to update personal information, and Other (please indicate the reason in Description). When creating the case, do not include the candidate’s name or phone number. Refer to candidates by their CCID only.

    4. If the primary ID number does not match, turn the candidate away and create a case, selecting Admissions/Check-in, Request to update personal information, and Other (please indicate the reason in Description). When creating the case, do not include the candidate’s name or phone number. Refer to candidates by their CCID only.

    5. Candidates with any questions regarding primary ID numbers should create a ticket with Huawei Talent online. To create a ticket, English-speaking candidates should go to https://e.huawei.com/en/talent/#/issue/add, and Chinese-speaking candidates should go to https://e.huawei.com/cn/talent/#/issue/add.

  7. Ensure the candidate’s CCID is on the log sheet, then continue admitting the candidate as normal.

Notes:

  1. Before turning a candidate away because of an identification issue, call the test center support line to contact a program coordinator.

  1. If the Candidate Information Portal is experiencing issues, contact VSS for support.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

EXAM INFORMATION

Lab-Based Exams:

Some test centers can deliver Huawei Certification exams with "live lab" items. These exams are considered "lab-based exams" and require a sustained remote connection to a third-party server for exam delivery. To connect to the third-party server, lab-based exams depend on a steady internet connection.

If a candidate has a complaint about anything related to the lab exam content or lab environment, first contact the client by calling +86-15013760944 or +86-18239944538 for assistance. Then create a case, selecting Exam delivery and Candidate complaint about exam content.

If a technical issue occurs during a lab-based exam, allow 5 minutes for the lab to be reestablished. If the exam does not resume after 5 minutes, stop the exam, and contact VSS for assistance. If VSS cannot resolve the issue within 30 minutes, ask the candidate if they would like to stay or end the exam.

If the candidate chooses to end the exam or if the lab issue is sitll not resolved after 45 minutes, create a case, selecting Exam delivery and Problem with computer software. When creating the case, do not include the candidate's name or phone number. Refer to the candidates by their CCID only. Provide the case number to the candidate.

When creating the case, include the following information:

  1. What time did the issue occur?
  2. Did the lab load or were there issues during the loading process?
  3. Can you describe how the lab behaved?
  4. Did an error message appear and, if so, what was it?
  5. Were there other lab exams being delivered at the same time?

Note: Only test centers authorized by Huawei Certification are permitted to deliver lab-based exams. If a candidate requests to take the exam in a test center that is not authorized, ask the candidate to create a ticket on the Huawei Certification website (https://e.huawei.com.cn/talent/cert/#/).
