Ending an exam

Most exams will end in the way described in this section. However, exam sponsor policies can impact how some exams end. When candidates complete an exam, they should raise their hands to alert the test administrator.

Ending an exam in Delivery Manager

If the candidate ends the exam by clicking End Exam, the Delivery Manager Login window appears on the candidate's screen. If the Login window does not appear, confirm that the candidate is finished, and ask the candidate to click End Exam to end the exam properly.

Ending an exam in Administrator

If the candidate ends the exam by clicking OK, the Delivery Manager Login window appears on the candidate's screen. If the Login window does not appear, confirm that the candidate is finished and ask the candidate to click OK to end the exam properly. For more information about Administrator, see appendix A.

Note the following information about ending exams:

If the delivery workstation will be used for further testing that day, leave the Login window open to use for the next appointment.
If the delivery workstation will not be used for further testing that day, close Delivery Manager on the workstation. See Closing Delivery Manager for more information.
When exam appointments are spread over two days, the software automatically tracks the exam time for the first appointment day and stops the exam when the time expires. When the time expires, a message notifies the candidate that time has run out and that the exam will be resumed at the next appointment. The candidate should click OK in this message to end the appointment. When you start the candidate's exam on the second appointment day, the software automatically resumes the exam where the candidate left off on the first day.
In most cases, if a candidate cannot complete an exam for reasons such as illness, the candidate needs to reapply and reregister for the exam and pay any applicable exam registration fees again. Do not advise the candidate that he or she may be able to take the exam again without repaying.
