Configure the firewall/proxy server - workgroup scenario

The Pearson VUE Testing System is Internet-enabled and uses CORBA technology to provide the communications infrastructure upon which the applications operate. To enable this technology, your system administrator may need to modify your system’s Firewall or proxy server.

If your test center uses a firewall or web filter, please ensure that the following URL's and IP Ranges are on the allowlist to ensure that you can connect to Pearson VUE.

  1. Unrestricted access to http://*.pearsonvue.com and https://*.pearsonvue.com
  2. IP range 13.89.111.144/28 (13.89.111.144 - 13.89.111.159) / ports 80 and 443

Third party software

Third-party anti-virus and other security software also have built-in restrictions. Refer to the user documentation included with any third-party application for information on how to configure restrictions associated with those programs.

Required IBT allowlist configurations

Sites may be required to allowlist various URLs to deliver exams via Internet-Based Testing (IBT) or for lab-based exams. The objective of allowlisting these URLs is to support IBT delivery and to support clients that will be delivering lab-based exams. If you are directed to allowlist URLs, the Required IBT Allowlist Configuration document provides information on the specific URLs that must be added to the allowlist at the site. Please work with your IT staff or Network Administrator to allowlist the required URLs.

Open the Required IBT Allowlist Configuration in the desired language:
